On the face of it vv19 may seem like a stupid thing to do without a reliable backup ps but taking a cynical view it certainly would mean that anyone upgrading maps 'unoffically' without an oem disc as a fallback may eventually have a problem.

Try this You are not allowed to view links. Had to replace the starter battery in my 09 Prado today and am happy to report that my C1 v19 disc was all that the GPS needed for a reboot, did not need to insert my original but truly outdated disc again. Will be interested to hear how you go after an extended power-down.
